Privacy Policy
Effective August 25, 2026. This policy explains what LINA RIDE collects, why we use it, and the choices available to riders and drivers.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the LINA RIDE mobile, web, and desktop experiences, the linaride.com website, and related rider and driver services. “Lina Ride,” “we,” and “our” refer to the operator of these services.
2. Information we collect
Account information
- Name, phone number, email address, profile photo, authentication identifiers, and account role.
- Driver onboarding and eligibility details where required to provide driver services.
Trip and service information
- Pickup, destination, route, trip time, vehicle, rider-driver match, status, and support history.
- Fare, payment status, promotions, cancellations, ratings, and safety-related records where those features are available.
Device and technical information
- Device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, identifiers, crash diagnostics, security signals, and Firebase App Check or similar integrity results.
3. Google account data
When you choose “Continue with Google,” Lina Ride receives the basic information authorized on the Google consent screen: your name, email address, profile photo, and a stable Google account identifier. We use this information only to create or find your Lina Ride account, display your profile, secure sign-in, and communicate service-related information.
We do not request access to Google Drive, contacts, calendar, messages, posts, or passwords. Lina Ride’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You can revoke Lina Ride’s Google access through your Google Account settings. Revoking access stops future Google sign-ins but does not automatically delete data that Lina Ride must retain for an active account or legal obligations; use the account-deletion option described below.
4. Location and vehicle tracking
Location is central to a ridesharing service. Riders may provide a pickup point, destination, and device location while using relevant features. Drivers may share precise or near-precise location while online, approaching a pickup, or completing a trip.
Lina Ride uses Traccar as a primary vehicle-location and fleet-tracking service. Traccar may process device identifiers, timestamps, coordinates, speed, direction, and related telemetry. Driver background location is collected only when the driver has enabled the online or active-trip state and the operating system permits it. Drivers can stop background collection by going offline, ending the trip, disabling location permission, or signing out, subject to safety and trip-completion requirements.
5. How we use information
- Create, authenticate, secure, and maintain accounts.
- Find places, calculate routes, estimate journeys, match riders and drivers, and operate trips.
- Provide safety features, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate incidents, and enforce our Terms.
- Send trip, account, security, support, and legally required communications.
- Debug, measure, and improve reliability, accessibility, routing, and customer experience.
- Comply with law, respond to valid legal process, and protect people, rights, and property.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to operate your account and trips, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain safety and financial records, and meet legal requirements. Retention periods vary by data type and local obligations. When information is no longer required, we delete it or de-identify it.
You may request account deletion through the account settings when available or through the contact method published in the app or on linaride.com. We will verify the request before deletion. Some trip, transaction, safety, fraud-prevention, and legal records may be retained after account deletion when required or permitted by law.
8. Your choices and rights
- Review and update profile information in the app.
- Control location, notification, camera, and photo permissions in device settings.
- Go offline to stop routine driver background tracking.
- Disconnect Google access through your Google Account.
- Request access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or deletion where applicable.
We may ask for information to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
9. Security, transfers, and children
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, application-integrity checks, audit logging, and least-privilege service access. No system is completely secure.
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Lina Ride is not intended for children under 18 to create independent rider or driver accounts. If we learn that a child provided information contrary to this rule, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service develops. Material changes will be posted here and, when appropriate, communicated in the app. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the contact or support channel displayed in the Lina Ride app or on linaride.com. Please do not send passwords, verification codes, or highly sensitive documents through ordinary email.
